Chapman Chargers Update
Guizzetti's Weekly Update
Week of 9/18/2017
Chapman Rocks!
I am really excited about this week. We have picture day on WEDNESDAY 9/20 as well as participating in Spirit Week to support Carlson High School's homecoming festivities! You can feel the excitement in the air as well as the crispness that tells us that fall is right around the corner.
The first PTO meeting was a huge success! Thank you for everyone that attend. There was a lot of information presented about upcoming fund raisers (see below) as well the bond proposal that is up for a vote on November 7th. Please call or email me with any questions about this and please VOTE!
We are still working on our parking lots and building being as safe as possible for our students. Thank you for those that have shared suggestions. Just a reminder to never park your car in the loop. This is unsafe and slows drop off and pick up down tremendously. Thank you parents for honoring my request of not blocking the front doors at dismissal times. Dismissal (especially for our kindergartners) has gone much more smoothly! We are also asking parents to please drop off at the door if you are walking your student into the school. If you need to speak with your child's teacher it is procedure to go to the office to see if the teacher is available and SIGN in. If the teacher is not available we will work to schedule a meeting time for you. If you are visiting Chapman for ANY reason always stop into the office, sign in, and get a name tag or visitor's badge. It is very important that we know who is in the building at all times.
Your student's first school banking day is October 10th. Please mark your calendar and reiterate the importance of saving. Many families start an account in Kindergarten for their child, save throughout the years at Chapman and are able to pay for 5th grade camp with the funds.
Spirit Days are as follows:
Monday: Movie Character Day
Tuesday: Sport Jersey Day
Wednesday: Hawaiian/Tropical Day- BUT remember its PICTURE DAY
Thursday: Salad Dressing Day
Friday: BLUE and WHITE day or CHAPMAN T-SHIRT Day
