Purpose & Passion

ST Math

Our ST Math kick-off event was a BLAST! Cooper students had a great time getting their photos with JiJi and diving into the new ST Math online program. The puzzles within ST Math challenge students to figure out how to manipulate objects in space and sequence. ST Math helps increase spatial-temporal reasoning and thus improves students’ understanding of math concepts. Click here to learn more about the science behind ST Math.

All students are encouraged to practice ST Math for at least 15 minutes a day. Many students have an opportunity to work on the program after completing their math assignments and during the Intervention and Enrichment period (I&E); however, imagine how much growth they will make if they add just 15 minutes each night completing the ST Math puzzles.

Please encourage your child to continue working through the puzzles at home.

Parent Visitation Math Day

Math Day is tomorrow! The RSVP was due November 9th. If you have not yet replied to the RSVP, please do so by 9:00pm tonight. RSVP using this link.

Elementary Conferences

Parent-Teacher Conferences are conducted for families of students in Grades K-2. This is an opportunity classroom teachers to share updates on student progress in the areas of academics and social development. It also provides a one to one setting for families to share information and ask questions related to their child's school experience.

Student-Led Conferences are conducted in Grades 3-5. The students are expected to attend the conference with their parents and will be prepared to present information to their families about their academic and social progress in school. At any time in the school year, parents/guardians may also request conferences with the teacher without their child present.

On conferences days, the students follow a 1:00pm Early Dismissal Schedule. Elementary conferences are schedule for:

November 30th: 6:00PM – 8:00PM

December 4th: 2:00PM – 4:00PM

December 5th: 6:00PM – 8:00PM

December 6th 2:00PM – 4:00PM

December 1, 7, and 8 are FULL DAYS OF SCHOOL ~ No conferences on these days.

Please use the Genesis Parent Portal to Sign-Up for your conference date and time. All conferences should be scheduled by November 22, 2024.

Please keep in mind that the conference blocks are only 20 minutes in length which includes 15 minutes for the official conference and a 5 minute transition for the next family. On your conference date, be sure to arrive a few minutes early for your scheduled conference.
