Book Review
The book Fallen is about how Martin Luna gets into a fight with a couple boys in the parking lot of Bluford High. Martin's so called friends said they would be there for him and wasn't so he stopped talking to him. A few months before that happened Martin's little brother died because of a drive by. So Martin's friends went to go look for the killer on the day Martin got beat up but Martin told them not to do that because they would end up in jail. So after the fight happened A cop named Mr. Mitchell started to question him and after multiple questions Martin told the cop about his little brother and how his friends were going to find the killer. Now Mr. Mitchell is after Frankie and his crew and Frankie is now coming after Martin to get revenge. And Martin has to make a decision to that will either save his life or will have him dead somewhere.
I can relate to a couple of the characters like Vicky. Vicky was Martin's girlfriend and she is the type of person that wants the best for Martin and for him to stay out of trouble. I can relate to her as a character because I act the same way with my boyfriend, but of course it's not that easy. My boyfriend thinks he's so big and bad just like Martin but in reality they both put on a hard act for everybody to impress them. There has been times where my boyfriend has got into fights over stupid stuff and I would be scared just like Vicky was about Martin. I really enjoyed this book because it has a lot of suspense and I could really relate to some of the events that happened. My least favorite part about the book was when Martin's little brother passed away that was really a heart breaker.
I would recommend this book to people who like suspense. I really enjoyed this book I could easily relate to most of the evens in story that's why I like it so much. This story has a little romance, a little mystery, and a little suspense to tie it all together. So if your in to mystery this is the book for you.
