Hispanic Heritage Month

This week marks the kick off of the month-long celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15).

Here are some Read-Alouds for the whole family -

René Has Two Last Names by René Colato Láinez

Carmela Full of Promises by Matt de la Peña and Christian Robinson

Historical Fun Facts: Hispanic Heritage Month is 30 days in which we celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.

Also, the countries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, and Chile all celebrate their Independence Days during the 30 days we call Hispanic Heritage Month.

How can you and your family help celebrate around our Fishers community?
