Summer Reading Info 2017

K-5 Info at Top and Middle School Info at Bottom

For Students Entering Grades K-5 at Wolcott in the Fall

To help improve their reading skills, all students entering grades K-5 at Wolcott for the 2017-18 school year must read over the summer and complete a summer reading log- on paper or online through Wandoo Reader- a new reading website provided by West Hartford Public Library.

Students entering grades K-2 register and log summer reading online here.

Students entering grades 3-5 register and log summer reading online here.

Here is a How To for using Wandoo Reader and the Summer Reading Info letter sent home to students.

Remember, completing a summer reading log with the West Hartford Public Library on the computer keeps you from worrying about losing the paper log. You can also type up your summer reading in a document and print and bring it to school in the fall.

If you fill it out on paper, please bring this paper to school with you no later than Sept 15, 2017.

Please note that paper reading log forms will not be sent home with students who will be entering grades 3-5 in fall 2017.

Please see bottom for middle school summer reading assignment due September 1, 2017. I suggest doing this assignment soon so it isn't forgotten and until the last minute.
