Davenport's Weekly Update
Week of October 3rd, 2021
Message from the Principal
Greetings Davenport Families!
Happy October!
We are grateful for the change in weather and the changes occurring in our building. Teachers, students, and families have and continue to ENGAGE in what has been a challenging start to the year with getting re-acclimated to school and being in the building full-time. It has been a journey, yet a rewarding one. We are looking forward to continuing to EMBRACE the students and families as we transition into yet another month to EDUCATE the students here at Davenport. Without the Davenport staff this would not be possible! Thank you for being great and pushing yourself beyond the limit. One day at a time, one student at a time, as ONE school!
Have a great extended weekend!

Grateful
Mrs. Miles' and Miss Blauvelt's second grade class were introduced to writing friendly letters this week. They decided to write thank you letters to the Cardiff Volunteer Firefighters for coming to our school, and worked very hard as a team!
Hispanic Heritage Month
For Hispanic Heritage Month, Mrs. Angelucci's ELL students are celebrating being bilingual by sharing some fun facts about themselves. Her students are proud to share that their families are from Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Mexico! It is so exciting to be able to speak two languages!
