College reps from across the state, region, and nation will be available to answer your questions about their schools – all from your computer or device!
Watch live college-prep presentations
Experts will be live on Sept. 27 to explore topics such as:
- College admission
- Selecting a major
- Campus visits
- Scholarship tips
- Paying for college
Space is limited, but sessions will be recorded for later viewing.
Visit college booths
The booths will feature videos, live chats, and information about the school. Come prepared with questions to ask the reps. Reps will be available during these times, but you can visit the booths anytime.

EducationQuest is offering several hour-long virtual financial aid sessions to educate students and their families about paying for college.

Virtual College Fair Sept 13
NACAC (National Association for College Admissions Counseling) is holding several FREE one-day virtual college fairs. The first of four will be Sunday, September 13, 1-9 p.m. CST. The others will be in October and November.
More than 600 colleges and universities will be online to talk with high school juniors and seniors this fall.
Parents are invited, too.

Friday, Sept. 4 - COLLEGE COLORS DAY! Wear something with your college colors or logo displayed proudly. Take a selfie and tag #CollegeColorsDay
Tuesday, Sept. 22 - ACT Test for SENIORS
This is the rescheduled State ACT assessment that we were supposed to have in the spring. It is in person and optional for seniors to attend. The scores from this test may be used for college entrance.
For seniors wishing to take the ACT additional times, there are tests offered weekly in October at sites around Omaha. Click to Register for the ACT. There you will be able to select your date and location for testing. Registration deadline for October ACT is Sept. 17

SCHOLARSHIPS OF NOTE
The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding, minority, high school seniors from low-income households. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to 300 of these student leaders, with the intent of helping them realize their maximum potential.
Deadline: Sept. 15
Questbridge National College Match
Are you a low-income high school senior who has excelled academically, but feels that the nation’s best colleges are financially out of reach? The QuestBridge National College Match can be your pathway to a top college. Through this college and scholarship application process, you can apply for free to the nation’s best colleges and be considered for early admission and a full four-year scholarship from the college.
Deadline: Sept. 29
FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
The FAFSA Application opens October 1 for the 2021-22 college school year. Below you will find a FAFSA checklist to help you start gathering the information you'll need to complete the application.
Also below, instructions on how to create your FSA ID (Federal Student Aid ID), which you and one parent or guardian will need to have before you can fill out the FAFSA.
