Eagle Point High School Agriculture Arena and Vet Med Project:
Our project to build a livestock handling area, arena and classrooms for our Agriculture classes and FFA program has made great progress. On August 23rd, EPSD9 held a public meeting to answer questions from community members. The City of Eagle Point Planning Commission held a Public Hearing Tuesday, September 20th, and approved the project’s conditional use permit.
District Personnel including Ag. Teacher, Traci Dulany, and District Financial Officer, Nick Hogan, presented the project to the Morris Foundation on Thursday, September 22nd. The Morris Foundation expressed its excitement about the opportunity to partner on the project and has notified us of their intent to contribute between $200k to $250k, each year, for the next three years to the project.
For more information regarding the development of the project, please read our Status Update for EPHS Arena Revised 9-21-2022

Anything but a backpack?
One of the most creative days for students and staff during Homecoming week, is the "anything but a backpack" spirit day at Eagle Point High School. Items from buckets to tool boxes were utilized for transporting books and supplies. We captured a glimpse of this event and hope you take a moment to enjoy the video using the link below.
Eagle Point High School JV Volleyball, OSAA Sportsmanship Award Nomination
Eagle Point School District 9 received the following letter to recognize the EPHS JV Volleyball team on their recent performance. Congratulations team!
"The OSAA congratulates you on your recent sportsmanship nomination. This is a recognition program that gives OSAA sport officials the opportunity to highlight the positive sportsmanship that they see on the court. Each program that receives a nomination will be eligible to receive the OSAA Sportsmanship Award for their activity, which includes 100 OSAA Cup points for your school!
In a recent match, your JV Volleyball program exhibited the great qualities that the OSAA looks for in teams, programs, and communities across the state, and your match official noticed!
Keep up the GREAT work!"

Hello Eagle Point School District Community,
Eagle Point School District adopted new Language Arts materials for our K-12 students this school year. The materials from the previous adoption (14 years ago) have been boxed up and are currently stored at our warehouse. The elementary materials are “Imagine It!” by McGraw Hill and the secondary materials are “Collections” by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
Our book disposal process states that we will offer our outdated curriculum to patrons, families, and other interested parties before we dispose of them.
We also have a number of items that were used for a day care program in the past; e.g., high chairs, toys, etc.
If you or anyone else you know is interested in the Kindergarten through 12th grade Language Arts materials or the day care equipment, please contact Vanessa Metcalf at 541-830-6377 or email her @ metcalfv@eaglepnt.k12.or.us to set up an appointment to visit the warehouse to pick out any materials you’d like to take home. All of these items are at no cost to you.
Appointments will be made on any weekday during regular business hours October 10, 2022 through October 28, 2022.
Thank you,
Eagle Point School District 9
