Attention 3rd-5th Grade Parents
Georgia Milestones testing for 3rd-5th grade students is scheduled Monday, May 3rd through Thursday, May 6th. Although the test scores will not have an academic impact on students this year, we want your child to do their very best.
Here are a few ways you can help:
*Make sure your child is in class by 8:00 every morning.
*Make sure your child has the opportunity to eat breakfast. The school café serves free breakfast every morning beginning at 7:30 AM.
*Make sure your child has no outside appointments during testing. We will not interrupt testing for checkouts.
*Make sure your child attends the normal testing days. Make up tests will occur prior to May 11.
For virtual students who are coming into the building for GMAS testing: Enter the back door of the Media Center at 8:00am. You will drive through the front drive beyond the auditorium and stop at the gravel parking lot. There will be someone in the location with a sign. You will drop off and pick up from this same location for testing. We will call parents when testing is complete for you to pick up your child. Virtual students who are not completing the GMAS will not have Zoom class during the testing times as all staff will be working the GMAS administration.
Monday, May 3rd – ELA (writing) for grades 3, 4 and 5
Tuesday, May 4th – ELA for grades 3, 4 and 5
Wednesday, May 5th – Math for grades 3, 4 and 5
Thursday, May 6th – Science for 5th grade only
Thank you for your continued support!
PTA Interest Survey
As we wrap up this unique school year, we, like many of you, were disappointed that we were unable to hold some of the "Fun Stuff" that PTA typically hosts. We still were able to provide classroom supplies for each teacher, sell spiritwear, host Spirit nights, Santa Shop and AR parties, create a Yearbook, and show our appreciation to the faculty and staff with meals.
Now, as we look ahead to next year, we have great hopes that we may all gather again for those exciting events! None of these things can happen without the support of the families of our school, so PLEASE CONSIDER how you might be able to carve out a little of your time to contribute back to the school and enhance your student(s)' experience! The linked survey provides you the opportunity to express your different areas of interest and provide any feedback. Thanks in advance for your participation!!!
