At Simmons Elementary School, We're Better Together
Tomorrow, we will celebrate the 100th Day of the school year! A reminder that school is closed this Friday, Feb. 14 and Monday, Feb. 17. School resumes on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
Author and Illustrator, Floyd Cooper, met with students in grades 4 and 5 yesterday. His visit was sponsored by the Hatboro-Horsham Educational Foundation. Mr. Cooper shared with students his unique illustration method using erasers to create his artwork. He inspired students to never give up on their dreams.
Kindergarten Registration 2020-21
Registration for next year's kindergarten will take place the week of February 24th. Students must be five years old by September 1st to be enrolled. New this year, registration will be at the administration building, 229 Meetinghouse Road, Horsham. Friendly Recess Assistants Needed
Do you enjoy being outdoors and working with children? We are currently recruiting applicants for open recess assistants at Simmons Elementary School. Volunteer Information
Any adult who will be in the classrooms (for any reason) or for field trips are required to have a volunteer photo i.d. badge issued by the Hatboro-Horsham School District. The required clearances are free and any adult (including parents, grandparents and other family members) can complete the process. The volunteer credentials are good for five years. We appreciate the time and commitment that our volunteers offer to enhance our school!
