The City of Sacramento has been making great progress with ramping up the FEC initiative these past couple of months. They have about a dozen initial community partnerships in development, and IRC has just had an offer accepted for the Manager position they had shared in September (see below). They are now looking to fill the three counselor/coach positions. These hires will each work with a variety of clients and community partners here in Sacramento, and extensive training will be provided. Bilingual ability is a strong plus.
Please share this opportunity with any potential candidates you may know: https://impactfoundry.org/jobs2/international-rescue-committee-144-financial-empowerment-center-fec-financial-coach/

The exhibit will be running at the California Museum from January 20 - March 15, 2020.
The exhibit features photographs of people sentenced anywhere from 20+ years to life in prison when they were under the age of 18, alongside conceptual and multi-media art centered around the broader realities of incarceration and popular opinion. Additional aspects of the exhibit include audio and visual narratives, life stories and convictions, family commentary, as well as provocative presentations of data/research on historical and current trends in juvenile justice.
