All Preschool and Kndergarten families are invited to a modeled read aloud that will include strategies to help strengthen young children’s literacy skills and cultivate a love of learning. Pajamas are encouraged for this special bedtime story. Children will leave with a book, and parents will leave with lots of great ideas to support children’s reading developmental at home. Children can signup for a library card, enjoy a bedtime snack, and shop for books at the Scholastic Book Fair. We hope to see many parents this evening!

Congratulations to Dr. Karyn Shaw and Alex Baker. Both are recipients of the Pioneer Valley Excellence in Teaching Award. This is a tremendous honor. They will be honored at an awards banquet at the Log Cabin in May. Their dedication to our students goes above and beyond and it is so nice to see them recognized. MCAS Testing Dates

Make sure your kiddos remember the "important things tests can't measure" and give them lots of positive reminders including 1) they are pretty good test takers already, 2) teachers have prepared them and 3) we only expect that they work hard and try their best. The MCAS testing dates for grades 3-8 are attached in a PDF at the bottom of this newsletter.

School Dance: Save the Date- April 12th

Our PTO is in the beginning stages of planning our next school dance. The theme this year is “glow in the dark”. Members of the PTO will be meeting in the school library on Monday, March 11th from 5:30-6:00 p.m. to begin planning for our dance. We are looking for parent volunteers who can help with the planning. If you can make it, we would love to have the help.
