Frederick Dougales
Frederick Dougales was born a slave and he had escaped when he was 20 yrs old. he went on to become a world-renowend anti-slavery activist his 3 aoutobiogerphies are known important work of the slave narrative. for 16yrs he edited an influential black newspaper and achived international fame as an inspring & persuasive speaker & writer. in thousand of speeches and editorials he lived a powerful indictment against slavery and racism he embraced anti-slavery politics and preaches his own brand of american ideals
Margaret Garner
she was a slave in pre-silver war. America nutritious for killing her two yr old daughter with a butcher knife because she didn't want her to go back to being a slave. She was not tried for murder she was forced back to slavery with her young child that was only 9 months. The steamboat she was put into was starting to sink so she was thrown overbored with her baby. A boat was behind them and they were going to rescue but the boat hit the steam boat. So after that the baby was drowned it was reported Margaret was happy the baby had died. so she said she would try to drown too.
Nat Turner
Nat Turner was a black preacher who was very deeply religious he claimed to have visions and directives from god. Nat lead in 1831 uprisisng in southampton county Virginia. 55 whites were killed by a group of slaves their. On night of august 2, 1831 Nat Lead four slaves named {henry,Hark,Nelson,& Sam} on a murderous spree near the town of Jerusalem killing Men, Women, & Children in their beds. The next day his mob grew 40 or 50 but local militia confronted and captured most of them. Nat had escaped but was captured on October and tried. He was skinned and hanged before they exicuted him he described his actions to Thomas R. Gray.
