Sacred Heart 3rd Grader - Ava Kimble is Named SEMI-FINALIST in International Contest

FINALISTS IN OUR 2022 SOLO CONTEST
Local Vocalist is Named SEMI-FINALIST in International Contest
Ava Kimble, 3rd grader of Sacred Heart of Jesus School in Wadsworth, Ohio was recently named a semi-finalist of the Elementary School Category in the 2022 Hammerstein International Youth Vocal Solo Competition. Her performance of “Edelweiss” has been promoted to the next round of the competition.
This year’s contest boasts singers from all over the world and most of the United States. Winners of the contest will earn cash prizes, a voice lesson with Broadway and American Idol veteran, Justin Guarini, and the opportunity to perform their winning song in Oscar Hammerstein’s living room at Highland Farm. Winners who are willing to make the trip, will also be invited to perform during the cocktail hour at an upcoming gala hosted by the non-profit, featuring Broadway talent.
The Oscar Hammerstein Museum and Theatre Education Center (OHMTEC) is a non-profit organization offering this opportunity for singers of all ages to display their talents and celebrate the works of the “Father of Broadway,” who contributed lyrics to over 800 songs that continue to reverberate around the world.
Ava Kimble has been studying voice for 1 year under Denise Milner Howell in Medina. She was recently invited to sing the National Anthem for minor league baseball team, Akron Rubber Ducks at Canal Park Stadium – and enjoys music class at school.

New Student Referral Program
We have a wonderful program here at Sacred Heart that allows current families to receive a tuition credit for referring a new family to the school. You our current families are our best recruiting tool.
We ask that you share what you love about Sacred Heart and encourage family friends and co-workers to consider our special school for their own children. In the course of you discussions, if you believe that another family is interested please complete the attached form and return it to the school office PRIOR to the new/prospective family contacting us. This is an essential part of the tuition credit program.
Again in order to receive the tuition referral credit you, as a current family, must submit the referral form PRIOR to the new family making contact.
