Peine Ridge Elementary 2019/20
Message From The Principal
Welcome To Peine Ridge Elementary!
Dear Peine Ridge Family,
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year. I hope you have enjoyed your summer and have made long-lasting memories with your family. I am honored and privileged to start another school year at Peine Ridge.
At Peine Ridge, the teachers and staff are committed to providing a positive, challenging, and academically-oriented learning environment for all students. Our goal is to provide learning activities that high levels of critical thinking and reasoning, accompanied by the application of learning to real-world situations.
One of the most important components of a great school is the partnership between the school and parents who work together for the best interest of children. The close partnership between home and school is one of the exceptional strengths at Peine Ridge. I appreciate and encourage parents to be actively involved. It is my hope that all of us - families, teachers, and staff- will work together to continue to foster in our students an enthusiasm for learning and an appreciation for education.
MY PERSONAL EDUCATIONAL VISION
Our Peine Ridge community is a family. As educators, we must treat each child as if they were our own. We must work together, support each other and realize that no one person is bigger than the school/family.
We will all work hard, support one another and grow together. Our school is our family – success is a by-product of our commitment to working together and respecting each other.
Culture of Personalization:
Our school will be a “Home Away from Home” for students, staff, family, and community. A place where the climate provides personalized learning for every student, built on a strong student, staff, family, business, and community partnerships. A place where everyone is treated with respect, treated fairly and appreciated.
Culture of Collaboration:
Our school will be a place where students, staff, parents, administrators, and community members work together and take ownership in developing and maintaining a dynamic, student-centered learning environment.
Culture of Excellence:
Our school will be a place where academic and personal excellence is an expectation for all. It must be our fundamental belief that all students can learn and achieve at high levels. It is our collective responsibility to ensure we do “whatever it takes” to prepare our students for the competitive 21st-century global environment. We will celebrate our successes!
We are excited to see you all and hope the remainder of your summer is exceptional and full of family fun.
Sincerely,
Dr. Ryan Andrews

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures- IMPORTANT
Please click HERE for more details.
This is an important reminder of the drop-off and pick-up procedures that we will enforce for the safety and efficiency of the students and parents at Peine Ridge. Staff supervision and student drop-off begins at 8:05 a.m. If you arrive early, please wait with your child(ren) until 8:05 am to assure that they are supervised. Parents should not drop students off in the parking lot in order to avoid the drop-off line. However, you can park in the lot and walk with your child to the crosswalk for morning drop off.
Dismissal Procedures will continue as they were last year.
***IMPORTANT *** Due to student safety, students who walk home from school will not be able to meet their parents at the front of the building. Parents will need to meet their children at the designated crosswalk. If you are picking up your child by car, then you need to utilize the splash station pick-up line.
Walkers- Walkers are defined as students who walk home on their own without a parent/guardian. These students will be dismissed and will either travel home alone or meet their parent/guardian at a designated crosswalk. The parking lot is not a designated crosswalk and is extremely dangerous for students to walk through unattended. Please do not bypass the carline or walkup area for convenience and put your child and others in danger.
Walk-ups- Walk-ups are defined as students who will have parents/guardians who will park in the Peine parking lot and walk up to the side gymnasium doors and pick their children up.
Car Riders- Car Riders are defined as students who will have parents/guardians who will utilize our car rider line to drive through and pick their child up. This is the most efficient way if a parent is coming to pick their child up. The line might look long but it moves quickly.
We will continue using the Splash Station access road to line up cars for drop-off and pick-up. Rather than entering on the Peine Ridge lot, cars will enter Splash Station’s entrance, loop around the back of Splash Station and form a double line on the access road in the morning and afternoon. Cars will take turns to get into a single line onto Peine property and pick-up their child(ren) as usual. The access road gates will be opened before 8 am in the morning and after bike riders and walkers leave in the afternoon.
A smooth and efficient procedure takes all of us working together. I appreciate and expect all parents to follow the outlined procedures.

The Wentzville School District has announced the launch of the WSD App, an all-in-one information source for parents, students, staff and community members. Created by ParentLink, the app was developed specifically to provide direct access to the District’s most sought-after information in the most convenient format – a mobile device. It allows users to view news stories, calendar information, send messages on a tip line, and receive important alerts – all on their smart phone.
The app is free and can be downloaded from the Apple Store or the Google Play store. Simply search for - Wentzville School District. “We know all parties -- students, parents, community, and staff - will find great value in this app,” said ParentLink President John Graff. “We are excited to provide the WSD community with a mobile resource to make collaborating with their local schools an enjoyable and easy part of their busy schedules."
