Sandersville Parent to Serve on KDE's New Kentucky United We Learn Council
The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) has released the names of the 67 people who have been asked to serve on the new Kentucky United We Learn Council. RaShaun West, Sandersville parent and SBDM member, is one of the 67 named.
The council will support the three big ideas of United We Learn, the state’s vision for the future of public education in Kentucky. This vision builds around three big ideas: creating a more vibrant experience for every student, encouraging innovation in our schools – especially when it comes to assessment – and creating a bold new future for Kentucky’s schools through collaboration with our communities.

Principal's Message
Dear Sandersville Families,
As I shared earlier this month, Sandersville earned a High rating from KDE with the corresponding color of Green. Scores from four different areas were combined to achieve this Green rating. The four categories and their corresponding ratings are as follows: Reading and Math- High, Science/Social Studies/Writing- High, English Learner Progress- Very High, Climate and Safety Student Survey Results- High.
While no single test or assessment defines our school or students, we are happy to see that the hard work of our students and staff, and the support of our families, is reflected in our rating.
If assistance is ever needed, call the office at 859- 381-4980 or email matt.marsh@fayette.kyschools.us.
Sincerely,
Mr. Marsh, Sandersville Principal
