A summer of learning
My, oh my! We made it. As we finalize the formal school year and make a shift to summer, I encourage you all to keep your eyes focused on having new experiences that help you keep learning. These new experiences are available any time, anywhere.
There are all sorts of opportunities to keep learning going this summer. Whether through SLP summer school, SLP community education, visiting museums or a Zoo, or simply learning more about your family’s history, the possibilities for learning are endless. I am excited for each of your families and hope that you have great experiences this summer.
Below are a few updates for you as we end this school year:
- Report cards will be available to view on Campus Parent Portal starting Friday, June 17.
- Summer contacts: Keep in touch this summer through our main office, which will be open during the months of June and August. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. The District Services Center is open all summer should you need help, 763-600-5000.
- School communications will resume in early August with information about Meet and Greet, school supplies, and the overall plan for the start of the 2022-2023 school year.
It has been an honor serving the Woodcrest Spanish Immersion School community these last two school years. I am proud of each student for their ability to be challenged and continue to grow. As a whole, I am proud of the greater Woodcrest community for the support you have given our students, our teachers, and one another as we successfully navigated these challenging times.
I’ve met with the incoming principal, Jaime Nymann, and I am excited to see her leadership and vision guide Woodcrest into an exciting future.
Con gratitúd,
John Franke
