As stated previously in a letter from Superintendent Collins, in a prior issue, our system has made some logo and branding changes. In addition, we will be making some changes to our uniforms. Please be assured that this will be a slow roll out. The current uniform shirts will be grandfathered in throughout the 2020-2021 school year. In a few months, our new shirts will be made available, but it will not be a requirement to purchase new shirts.

Rainbow Reading

The K-2 Rainbow Reading Program is in full swing now. All students received the red reading log at the beginning of the school year. As you and your child read the books listed on the sheet and it is returned during their library visit, they will spin for a prize and receive the next colored log.

The goal is for students to read through the colors of a rainbow and reach "PURPLE". Then they will join us during our Purple People Party in May. During this party, students will wear purple, and eat purple foods, play games, and enjoy time with other readers.

If you need another red sheet, please send an email and include the student and his or her teacher's name to the request. This is a fun time for your child to explore books in varying genres from your home and public library. Also, they can search for books in the school library during their Specials visit.

Thank you for supporting your child's education.

FortifyFL is a suspicious activity reporting tool that allows you to instantly relay information to appropriate law enforcement agencies and school officials.

The Florida Legislature directed this tool’s development in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act. For more information visit:
