Answering the Essential Question

I think Sir Francis Drake would have motivated me to immigrate from Europe. It isn't just because I did this report on him, but because he seems like a pretty good guy. Let me tell you why Drake would have motivated me.

First of all, Drake got to work for the queen. Lots of people wish they could work for the queen like Sir Francis Drake did. Another reason Francis Drake would have motivated me is because he died of natural causes. To me this is a big deal because I would not want to be killed by enemies. Finally, Drake was a pirate. Sure, it was like a part time thing, but he was one of the best. If I were an explorer, I would also want to be a pirate. A sailor should be able to have some fun too, right?

In conclusion, Sir Francis Drake would have been my idol. If I was part of his crew, I would have considered myself lucky. Sir Francis Drake had a great life for an explorer. If It was still the 1500s, I would follow the footsteps of the great Sir Francis Drake. If I could not pull it off, then I would like to follow Marco Polo.
