Faculty F.Y.I.
July 2019
A New Adventure Begins!
I am thrilled to officially begin my time at Fr. John V Doyle. It has been a pleasure getting to know each of you over the past few months, and I am looking forward to beginning a new year together.
I hope that you are taking time for rest, relaxation, and family over the next several weeks. This time is so important in order to be re-energized for the start of another school year. I know some of you have travel plans, and I look forward to hearing about your summer adventures! Personally, I'm hoping to make it back up to New Hampshire for more hiking (pictured).
In the following newsletter, you will find information regarding summer happenings at FJVD, important dates and announcements for the start of school, and various other details to help prepare you for the new year. I hope to send out a similar Faculty FYI weekly or bi-weekly during the year to help keep everyone informed and on the same page. Please take some time to read through the information carefully.
Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication. I know many of you will spend considerable time and energy over the summer months planning and preparing for the year ahead, and your time and efforts are deeply appreciated.
I will be readily available via email throughout the summer, and will also be at school Monday-Friday most weeks, so feel free to reach out or stop by with any questions or concerns.
Wishing you all the very best!
Sincerely,
Kevin Peloquin

Summer Spotlight Series
One way in which I'd like to accomplish this is through a "Summer Spotlight Series" on our Facebook page. Please note that this is entirely optional!
What does this entail?
If you're interested in taking part, simply fill out the Summer Spotlight Survey here (you'll need to be logged in to your school Google account):
I'll use the information in the survey to create a post that details your great work at FJVD and a little more about you! The post will be shared through our school Facebook page.
Spotlight Posts will be created as survey responses come in and will run approximately every week, as participation allows. Don't worry if your post does not make it over the summer, we will continue the posts as needed to make sure everyone has an opportunity!
I look forward to learning more about you and sharing some of your great work with our community!
Summer News
Welcome to Fr. Brendan Rowley
We welcome our new Associate Pastor Rev. Brendan Rowley! Like me, Fr. Rowley officially began his time here on July 1st.
Fr. Rowley is a Bishop Hendricken graduate, who has a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education from Rhode Island College. He entered St. John Seminary in Boston, Massachusetts in 2013 for his formation for the priesthood. His summer assignments as a seminarian included St. Joseph, Woonsocket, where he served under our pastor, Fr. Woolley. He was ordained a transitional deacon on May 26, 2018, and a priest on June 8, 2019.
Please join me in welcoming Fr. Rowley to our parish and school community!
Summer Email
I absolutely encourage and support using the summer months for rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation. With that being said, it would be helpful if you can briefly check your emails once every 1-2 weeks, simply to stay up to date with any announcements, change in dates, etc.
Thank you!

Every Kid Needs a Champion - Rita Pierson
"How powerful would our world be if we had kids who were not afraid to take risks, not afraid to think, and who had a champion. Every child deserves a champion... Is this job tough? You betcha. But it is not impossible. We can do this. We're educators. We're born to make a difference." -Rita Pierson
