Tisch's Tidbits
Welcome back! My break wasn't much of a break in terms of rest. My adventures took me to Lake Geneva in Wisconsin, Geneva in Illinois to see my friend for her 40th, Great Wolf Lodge in Ohio with the kids, New Buffalo in Michigan, and South Bend to see Garth Brooks in the FRONT ROW! He gave me a high five and told me he loved my sign. That means we're besties, right? So, many of home projects were put on hold, but memories were made. The laundry and closet cleaning can wait. Whether you stayed here or enjoyed time away, I hope you created lasting memories as well.
Homework
We're back in the swing in the things. Your child may have some assignments to complete or finish, so you may want to check each night to help remind him/her to pull them out from their bags. Many have an assignment to complete this evening that needs to be turned in tomorrow morning focused on meaning of words/creating sentences that make sense using the words they learned.
Reminder
Just a reminder to read Mrs. Melliere's letter and to return the envelope that goes to her. If you didn't receive the letter, please let me know.
4th Grade Breakfast
This Wednesday morning is the Dads Club Breakfast. It starts at 7 a.m. in the cafe! It's always a fun time and it's free! Enjoy the final one at Union with your 4th grader.
Report Cards
Information will be emailed out this week on how you can access your child's report card. Just a reminder, your child may be progressing in multiple areas first quarter because many of the standards have just been introduced or have multiple areas included in one standard. Progressing means that I do not have enough data points to prove mastery of the standard at this point of the year. What you see in the report card is sometimes more in depth than what is shows based on Indiana standards. Also, NA means the standard has not yet been covered at this point in the school year. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
