FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN
Through the leadership and fundraising efforts of our Sunshine Society, two years ago, our school hosted a Feed My Starving Children MobilePack, packing over 160,000 meals for children in Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, and Belize. This was an incredible event for our students and staff to participate in as we all worked together to serve and feed others.
In April 2024, a second MobilePack event is planned. Sunshine is working to raise $62,000 to host a community and schoolwide pack. Currently, Sunshine has raised over $18,000 with the goal to raise the remaining money by the end of 2023. In particular, Sunshine would like to thank the fifth-grade students, teachers, and families for raising over $1300 through the Fifth Grade Wax Museum Project in late May.
Fundraising efforts for the upcoming school year will kick off at the Lemon Shake-up event on Friday, August 19 at the football game with the goal of raising over $10,000. If you know of a business or organization who would like to donate to our fundraising efforts, please contact Deanna McClure at (260) 692-6787 or email mcclured@accs.k12.in.us.
We will be looking for businesses and organizations who want to take part in the community pack on the evening of April 4. This is a wonderful opportunity to serve alongside your friends and co-workers. More information will be available at a later date.
