Some great camps in Cville to create tech this summer!
Tech Camp @ STAB
Weekly camps starting June 19 are available for rising 2nd thru 12th grade and are led by nationally recognized computer science faculty Kim Wilkens, founder of local nonprofit Tech-Girls, Zach Minster, and Michele Mathieson. This year’s offerings include, the art of code, web & app making, game design, computer graphics physical computing, programming, 3D printing and so much more! Camp Invention @ Peabody School
A one week camp July 24-28 for children rising K thru 6th grade. Children are presented with fun, hands-on challenges that encourage creative problem solving, teamwork, entrepreneurship and innovation. More @ campinvention.org.
CoderDojo Charlottesville 2017
CoderDojo Charlottesville develops computer science skills among public school students in grades K-12, regardless of the level of their computer programming knowledge and experience. Coderdojo will be held at Murray High School this year. When participants arrive this summer they’ll be able to move toward the area and emphasis best for themselves. Registration info.
