Read Across America (Goal 3#)
Read Across America
Our elementary schools have been celebrating The National Education Association Read Across America. Celebrated in conjunction with Dr.Suess’s birthday on March 2, Read Across America motivates kids to read, bring the joys of reading to students of all ages, and make all children feel valued and welcome. This year the titles and resources featured by NEA’s Read Across America include books that students can see themselves reflected in, as well as books that allow readers to see a world or a character that might be different than them while celebrating diversity in their community and our country.
