GOHS used donations from The Rock Church to support a newly homeless student who lost his home and all of his possessions due to the Paradise wildfire in 2018. He received $100 to Target and $50 to Applebee's. The Assistance League generously donated $150 to Kohls and $50 Visa Card to this same student to help provide whatever he needed after having lost everything weeks before his arrival to GOHS.
GOHS/TVUSD partnership health program provided glasses to a student who we discovered was unable to purchase them for himself. We additionally found that his parent requires him to purchase his own clothing because the family cannot afford it. With the donated gift cards GOHS ROOTS was able to provide a $50 Target gift card.
