Words from Mrs. Wyndi Bradley, King's Gate's Head of Schools
Hello King’s Gate Families!
What a school year this has been! THANK YOU for partnering with us this year to prioritize the total well-being of all King’s Gate students. It was a giant leap of faith for all of us (students, parents, staff, and Board) to choose to implement face-to-face instruction during the pandemic. We are in awe of our Almighty GOD. In His faithfulness, He provided a supernatural miracle allowing our students to have the benefit of a typical school year with their friends while the world faced the collective trauma of Covid-19. The 2020-2021 school year will forever be set apart as our shared experience of a supernatural miracle!
Together, we found ways to plow forward with our plans for the school year. We provided individual Meet the Teacher times and we found ways to implement a virtual Parent Night, Connect-@-Home Gala, and a Christmas program. We initiated additional Upper School building blocks including the first 9th grade class, the Life Launch program, and extra-curricular academic competitions (Arts Festival, Math Olympics, Speech Meet, Creative Writing, and Spelling Bee). We implemented a significant strategic planning process to identify and confirm key initiatives for the future (see the next article). We exceeded our Amazing gRace goal more than a week before the event with a total of $40,782.77! We also completed our first re-accreditation cycle that included a high school grade!
There is no doubt that the LORD blessed us and helped us this year. It has been a year full of excitement, joy, lifelong friendships, and learning. At the beginning of this year, we were full of anticipation about what this year would hold. As He has done for 43 years, GOD truly blessed King’s Gate Christian School with another great year! Thank You LORD for Your blessing!
I could not let this year end without saying “THANK YOU!” Thank you for sharing your children with us—as well as your time, talents, and resources! It is so sweet to work with you and your children and I am humbled that GOD allows me the privilege of being part of something so genuine and rich in blessing. Thank you for sharing this part of your journey with us! We have been blessed to walk it with you!
Remember that we are always here to support you in any way we can.
Have a wonderful summer!
The best is yet to come,
Mrs. Wyndi Bradley, Ed. S.

Strategic Planning Update
Thank you students, families, staff, and Board for your participation in the strategic planning process that took place throughout January and February. Through a series of live and virtual events, key initiatives were identified and confirmed. Since that time, action steps have been laid out and work has begun to accomplish these key priorities including:
· The addition of key leadership to improve communications, fundraising, and Upper School development.
· The provision of additional extra-curricular activities.
· The Implementation of a more aggressive marketing strategy.
· Growth of our library especially with fiction titles for Upper School students.
· Provision of a mobile computer lab for the elementary.
· Completion of the top floor of the Next Generation Center to provide more classrooms.
Please pray for King's Gate as we continue to move forward! We serve a merciful and faithful GOD! It is so exciting to watch GOD’s plans for King’s Gate unfold, especially knowing that He used the requests and urgings from our families to encourage us to expand the school through 12th grade.
The best is yet to come!

Wonderground Update - THANK YOU Huddleston Family!
Ms. Laurie's dream for a decorative fence in the Wonderground came true! A staff member's neighbor - previously unfamiliar with King's Gate - donated the panels, a board member donated the brackets, staff is helping Ms. Laurie paint, but who would put it all together? Thanks to the Huddleston family the fence is installed in our Wonderground area, adding a touch of whimsy and beauty!
The Wonderground is starting to awake from its winter slumber, but it still needs some weeding, pruning, and planting. Please click on the link below to sign up for a date to come work in the garden. We have slots available 7 days a week from now through the summer. This would make a great family event!

If you know of a group looking for service hours, please call us at 405-283-0144. We'll put you in touch with Ms. Laurie to schedule it. The more people we invite to help us maintain it, the more people know about our school and our amazing science program. Those people tell others and that's how we grow!
Thanks in advance for your help in maintaining this jewel of King's Gate!

COVID-19 UPDATE May 2021
GREAT NEWS!!! We have no COVID cases to report! All staff and students are healthy and HAPPY!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IMPORTANT INFORMATION to remember:
A “direct exposure” is one in which an individual is directly exposed (has close contact, i.e. are within 6 feet for ≥ 15 minutes) to a COVID-positive individual. An “indirect exposure” is one in which an individual is exposed to someone else who was previously, directly, exposed to a COVID-positive individual.
Per the Back to School Guidelines, Canadian County Health Department (CCHD) is contacted for notification and recommendation in each situation. For direct exposures, the exposed individuals are required to quarantine for up to 14 days following their last day of direct exposure. For individuals who experience an indirect exposure, quarantine not required, as per CCHD and the CDC, there is “little to no risk” of contracting the virus in this type of exposure.
Notification and follow-up with affected individuals/families takes place in each situation while also maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
We are continuing to grow in our knowledge and experience in responding to exposures. We appreciate the input and information that many of you have shared with us regarding your own experiences and desire for better and ongoing communication and information.
As always, we pray daily for exceptional health and safety for our students, teachers, and all our King’s Gate families. May God keep you and bless you, each and every one.
