SHISD Mid-Week Message
Promoting Great Things in a Great School District
Leaving a Legacy
When we think about the great people in our lives that make a difference, it's not usually one event, but a series of small events that happen continuously that create their legacy. It is not, however, something that they do by accident or by chance. To make a difference you need a purpose and a plan. It was very clear that all of the honorees had passion for family and saw themselves as a part of something greater. They all wanted to make the people around them better and would not let excuses or obstacles get in the way. They all had a drive to be better today than they were yesterday.
I mentioned in one of my first newsletters to the SH family that in order to be great you have to have pride for who you are and what you are, a purpose for what you do and why you do it, and a passion that fuels and pushes you to reach your goals. The questions I have for you this week are ...what do you want your SH legacy to be? What do you want to be remembered for? What are you doing about it? Choose to be great! Choose to Matter.
