What are hot dogs?
A hot dog is a meat just like sausage, but it can be made from beef, pork, chicken, turkey, and even veggies! It can also be boiled, grilled, fried, steamed, baked, broiled, and yes of course microwaved.European immigrants brought hot dogs to the Americas in 1860.Hot dogs used to be served just by themselves, but in 1904, during the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, the idea of hotdogs in a bun was born. Gaius was the inventor so they claim of the hot dog he stuffed the intestines of animals with meats and spices and BOOM! The hot dog was born. Hot dogs used to be called Frankfurters, but they have many names. hotdogs were originally imported from Germany and the word frankfurter gets its name from Frankfurt Germany. Back during the great depression hot dogs were only served for a nickel. Thats only 5 pennies.
