HPES Update
04/13/2020
Happy Easter!
Staff,
I hope this message finds you well and that you enjoyed the long 3-day weekend at home, where you have been cooped up for some time now! Nonetheless, I hope you got to rest and enjoy yourself!
For this week, you may wear pajama bottoms with a Zoom appropriate top! :)
The biggest thing this week is connecting with your students and letting their parents know that this week is when we begin assigning grades. Please be on the lookout for an email with directions from the district. Please do not put any grades into skyward or share actual grades with students or families until you hear directly from me this week.
As always, try your best to stay home, and keep yourself and your family healthy!
Warm Regards,
Lizbeth

K-1 REPORT CARD PROCESS (submitted by Holly Galloway)
For the 3rd 9-week reports cards K-1 teachers will need to use a fillable PDF report card to record student’s grades for the 3rd nine weeks. I have emailed all K-1 teachers the updated Word document. Please make a copy of file before filling in information and do not save completed report cards at this file location. Teachers will complete the report card for the 3rd 9-week period, save each student as a separate pdf and email the report card to the parents. For families that we do not have email addresses teachers will need to email the report card to campus principal, who will print and mail the report cards through standard mail. All report cards need to be sent, emailed or standard mail by April 17.
A Word from PfISD PBIS:

It includes a Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be Responsible expectation matrix for group and individual online learning.

Reminders about Online Lessons & Paper Learning Packets
***If your team is planning on sending a separate lesson to the ones available online, please make sure that you make exceptions for those students who do not have technology and allow them pick up a packet curbside at the meal locations. Parents are also able to print packets at home.
***If you have any students picking up a packet, you will need to pre-record yourself teaching the lesson and send this out to their parents.
***If your students are doing online learning (not packets), please make sure to either Pre-record yourself teaching the lesson and make it available to them , or offer a live lesson. Remember live lessons are not required.
****Please save any pre-recorded lessons in your teams folder so that other members of your team can access, or other grade levels can get ideas.
*** If you are having live zoom lessons, please invite the administrator assigned to you grade level to your meeting. We may not be able to attend, but we will try and pop in when we can.
