Weekly Update

November 28, 2022

Messages from Miss Angela

-Welcome back! I hope you were able to enjoy some quality time with loved ones over the Thanksgiving holiday week. This week we welcome December with open arms. This Friday is our “First Friday Spirit Day” and students may wear holiday/winter pajamas. They can also bring an ornament to decorate their class tree. Also, look for your grade-level newsletters this week for more detailed information for the month of December.

-Friday, December 2nd is the Annual Santa's Electric Light Parade in Old Town. Please be advised that traffic will be heavy on Friday afternoon due to street closures in Old Town. Plan for early pickup to avoid traffic delays.

-We invite you all to stop by Christmas Tree Lane in The Promenade Mall and visit the Van Avery Prep tree. You can purchase raffle tickets to win our tree. Proceeds support Habitat for Humanity in the Temecula Valley.

-NFL Flag Football practices should be starting this month. Look for communication from your coach.

New Website

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new website. While we are still working on updating many of the images, the site should be more useful for our families. Under the For Parents menu, you will find the monthly calendar and links to the weekly newsletters. We hope you'll have the information you need, right at your fingertips.

Eighth Grade Spanish Service Project

Our eighth-grade Spanish 2 students are hosting a book drive for two under-served schools. This is a House challenge and families are encouraged to donate gently used or new books. There are boxes in the gymnasium marked with House banners to deposit the books. Donate before 12/9.

Disabled/Handicap Parking

Just a friendly reminder: do not park in the disabled or handicapped reserved parking spots if you do not have a visible placard or license plate that permits the use of those spaces. We have several family members that require the legal use of those spaces.
