September Hawk Highlights
September 11, 2020
Dear Families of the Hollys,
Last week, Principal Molly Drvenkar shared several ways we intend to foster more efficient two-way communication at the Hollys through the use of BlackBoard Connect for district and school messaging, Smore for school newsletters and flyers, and the new School Deets web-based application for school and classroom communication.
An additional way to get involved is to join us for our monthly virtual Hollys P.A.S.S. (Partnerships for Academically Successful Students) Meetings. Comprised of Hollys parents, teachers and administrators, and community members, Hollys P.A.S.S. supports the district's goal of Inclusive Excellence, and is a critical component of systemic equity transformation and serves the purpose of engaging community members in meaningful and effective partnerships that lead to positive outcomes for all students, but more specifically, students of color. P.A.S.S. is a structure that fosters the intentional building of relationships between the school and the parent communities in an effort to create an inclusive learning environment for all students. P.A.S.S. also gives parents and guardians of students of color voice and direct access to administration.
Our first Hollys P.A.S.S. Meeting will be held virtually on Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 6-7pm via Microsoft Teams by clicking the following link:

Wear Your Mask
Please wear a mask on campus at all times. Research and science show that wearing a mask is critical to slowing the spread of the virus. We require masks for all students, community members and staff regardless of state mandates. If you do not have a mask, we will provide a disposable mask for you. If you are unable to wear a mask, please contact the Principal or Assistant Principal to make alternate arrangements for student drop off and pick up. We appreciate your partnership in keeping our community safe.
Do I need to stay at home?
Please leave your child's first and last name and the reason for their absence. If you child is not feeling well, please describe in detail the symptoms they are experiencing. For example, do they have a fever? Do they have shortness of breath, cough, runny nose, upset stomach, vomiting, or diarrhea?
Thank you for your partnership as we work to keep our students and staff healthy.
Am I ready to go back to school?
