Where Excellence is the Standard - Week of October 18, 2021
RANDLE HIGH SCHOOL UPDATE
Dear Randle High School Families,
With the expected cooler weather, I wanted to review a few items.
- New Coming was a HUGE Success! All the students were amazing; the students had a great time and everyone acted appropriately. A very special thank you goes out to Officer Becerra, Coach Burnley, Ms. Abboud, Coach Strickland, Coach Brantley, Ms. Soto, Ms. Green, Mr. Self, Coach Randle and our custodial staff. You made the event special and it could not have happened without you.
- HB 45/45 afterschool tutorials are set to begin this Monday. They are 4:00 - 5:30. There will be transportation for all students to each student's zoned elementary school. Students, it is important that you attend. All tutorial time will be monitored electronically. When you meet your required time, you will no longer be required to attend.
- Parents, attendance is important. We will begin having our Attendance Review Committee meetings. Please make sure that all notes regarding absences have been filed with the attendance office.
- A very small percentage of students are having an issue getting to class on time. Any student with 5 or more tardies may be assigned to Saturday Detention. Saturday Detention will be held in the cafeteria from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Being in class and on time is an expectation.
Finally, I wanted to share the The Randle PTO had their first meeting. They will be reaching out to the parents who have indicated interest in becoming members of our PTO. The goal of the Randle PTO is to provide educational programming such Shattered Dream (founded by Mothers Against Drinking and Driving), Texting and Driving, Teens and Tobacco Presentations, and supporting College and Career Readiness programs as well as college visits to area colleges and universities. Please be on the look out for more information.
Thank you for a great start to the Second 6 weeks!
