Digital Citizenship Lessons in the Library
By Tuesday, September 9th, all students from Kinder through 5th grade will have discussed how to be a good Digital Citizen with me in the library. They understand that anytime they are on a computer, laptop, or device, they are expected to follow the expectations below.
I Will Listen to My Head!
- I will not share my login or passwords, and I will log off the computer when I am done.
- I will not share private information such as my name, phone number, address to people I do not know.
I Will Listen to My Heart!
- I will be respectful and kind when I am online.
- I will be helpful, and not harm others when I am online.
I Will Listen to My Gut!
- I will be safe and visit appropriate websites that promote learning and are for educational purposes.
- I will follow Copyright Laws and will remember to cite the sources I use for all my products.
I Will Stand Up to Cyberbullying!
- I will tell an adult if someone is being unkind or harmful.
I Will Use My Personal Device Appropriately
- I will only use LISD's WIFI network when I'm at school.
- I will keep my device safe and secure at all times.
I AM a Digital Citizen!
