Community Reads
The Campus Library invites you to join Community Reads for a campus-wide reading and discussion of So You Want To Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo. This local Seattle author was the Keynote speaker at The Equity and Inclusion Conference in February on UW Bothell/Cascadia’s campus. This is an opportunity to return to the conversations Oluo brings to her readers about racial divides in America. Oluo frankly addresses issues such as privilege, police brutality, intersectionality, micro-aggressions, the Black Lives Matter movement, and the "N" word.
A limited number of FREE books will be available at the Campus Library front desk thanks to the UW Race and Equity Initiative.

Cascadia students are invited to attend the Queer I Am student conference in Olympia next fall, Oct. 26-27, 2018. The Center for Culture, Inclusion, and Community will cover all travel and registration costs for Cascadia's delegation.
Queer I Am creates a liberating space in education that engages Queer individuals and their many communities in developing a sense of belonging and pride in Queer culture.
