Our Vision
Our Lady of Fatima Palmyra is a Catholic School that aspires to provide a respectful, secure and caring learning environment where our community is committed to following the teachings of Jesus.
From the Principal
Dear Parents,
Welcome back to a new school term, which will be filled with a number of exciting opportunities for the children, beyond their normal classroom teaching and learning experiences. These include the public speaking programme which is a school wide focus at this time of the year, Robotics programme this term in Year 4, an Optiminds programme available for some Year 5 and 6 children and a full interschool winter sport programme of football and netball for the older children at our school.
We are presenting this newsletter for the first time in a different format, a format that will be easier to read on a mobile device. You may need to be a little patient with us to refine the new format, but it is designed to make this document easier to read on a mobile device.
Our long-awaited Capital Development is also about to start, with the fences being erected today around some designated areas in the school. The Capital Development will continue through until the end of the 2019 school year, with the new facilities being available for use from the start of the 2020 school year. The main learning spaces for the children will not be affected which is important but no access to the school hall and the building that has been our school library will create some logistical challenges for us to work through as the second half of the year unfolds. I will describe our plan for this later in this edition of the school newsletter.
