Student Field Trip Survey - Graduate Research Participation Needed from Teachers

Dear Teacher,

Good afternoon! My name is Lucchese Hamilton and I work in the Education Division at the Lubbock Lake Landmark. At the Landmark, we hope to make our resources as accessible to students as possible. I am conducting a project to 1) identify barriers between students and local museum resources and 2) suggest ways for museum educators to overcome those barriers.

To do so, I am surveying Prekindergarten through 8th grade teachers about their experience with school field trips. If you would be willing to participate, please scroll a little further for information and a link to the five-minute survey. If other teachers in your school would be willing to participate, please forward this information to them. Your time is greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Lucchese Hamilton

You will be asked to answer six multiple choice and two open-ended questions about your experience with school field trips.

This study should only take five minutes to complete, and you can stop at any point and skip any questions you prefer not to answer. There are no foreseeable risks to your participation. To protect your confidentiality, no identifiers will be collected.

If you have any questions about this research, please contact Lucchese Hamilton at lucchese.hamilton@ttu.edu. If you have questions about your rights as a research participant, contact the Texas Tech University Human Research Protection Program at 806-742-2064 or hrpp@ttu.edu.
