Cool Cats Week In Review

Cool Cats Working Hard & Learning Every Day!

Students Start Class At 7:30

Your student has been working so hard for three weeks now! We are very proud of them and all they are learning. Please remember that it is of utmost importance that your child be in their classroom by 7:30. Instruction starts promptly at 7:30, therefore your child is missing important learning time if they are late. If your student eats breakfast at school they need to be here shortly after 7:00 in order to go through the line and be done eating by 7:25 so they can get off to an excellent start in their classroom.

Students may be dropped off as early as 7:00am. Students are doing a great job of entering the school and going to their designated area. They no longer need assistance with this. It's their Kuleana!

Pre-K Reminders

Parents, your students are doing a great job of gaining independence. They can now walk into the school on their own!

Morning Pre-K Arrival 7:00-7:25 Be here close to 7:00 if your student eats breakfast at school.

Jimmy John's Students of the Week

Each week a student will be named Student of the Week for Hartman Elementary. Jimmy John's will provide each winner with a free sandwich.

Title 1 Parent Meeting

Thank you to all the parents that attended and learned about your child's education and the great things that Hartman teachers are doing!

Counselor's Corner

Parents and guardians often ask how they can best support their student. Here are a few ideas that you can do to help your student be successful in school:

  • Make attendance a priority. Your child is missing important instruction every time they are absent from school.
  • Provide a place at home for your child to do homework.
  • Ask your student specific questions about their day. For example, ask them to tell you one thing they learned, their favorite activity, or the most difficult thing they did today.
  • Have your student at school on time. When they are late they miss important morning procedures that set the tone for the day.

Thank you for all you do to support your student. We love being partners in your child's education!

Best Regards,

Mrs. Holly Hensley

Hartman School Counselor
