Thorughout his almost 20 year career Henri de Toulous-Lautrec had a total of 5,084 drawings. One of Henris personal best paintings was the "Portrait of Vincent van Gogh" in 1887, which is currently in the Vincent van Gogh museum. He also created "The Laundress" in 1889.
Life In Paris
Henri moved to Paris when he was at the age of eight, and then came back in 1875 because his mother noticed his health problems. He then became very drawn to Montmartre, which is the bohemian lifestyle area in Paris. He did most of his works with Van Gogh who became one of his life long friends. He impacted Paris by joining the Independent Artist Salon which is a gallery were big works of art is discussed. Paris impacted Henri because of its haunt for artists and famous philosophers.
