Welcome back Track 2!

Congratulation to all of the spellers who participated in the MCES on Saturday! Thank you to the parent, teacher and support staff who made this event possible.

Last Minute Holiday Shopper gifts are due Monday, December 8th. Thank You for assisting with this program.

The CCR team is looking for some small trinket items for their prize box (i.e. Happy Meal Toys, party favor type toys, etc...). If you have any you would like to donate, please leave in the office for Mrs. Rice.

A Special Note from Dr. Brown:

It’s never easy to make this kind of announcement and I have delayed it because, quite frankly, I just did not want to do so. Some of the staff members have been aware of my decision, but I have not told the students yet. You may share it with them as you deem appropriate.

I will be retiring on 31 December 2014 after serving Wake County for over 34 years. The last day of classes will be the early release on Friday – 19 December 2014.

It has been an honor and a pleasure working with your students. Thank you for all you have done for Middle Creek…making it a wonderful place to teach.

Joe Brown

Spelling Bee

Congratulations to our Spelling Bee winner: Hannah Beth Davis, a fifth grader in Mrs. Stein' class! Hannah Beth will advance to represent our school at the PAGE of Wake County Bee at the McKimmon Center in February. Runner up to Hannah Beth was Lindsay Lopez, a fifth grader in Mrs. Bryant's class. We had a battle at the end with five spellers going fourteen rounds without missing a word. In addition to Hannah Beth and Lindsay, these spellers included Kevin Assante, Keira Morrissey and Lauren Timberlake. Please join us in congratulating these and all spellers who participated.
