KOVALESKI'S KEYNOTE
Encounter Christ in Holy Moments!
Last week we saw some incredible Holy Moments...
We are encountering Christ each day and paying attention to Holy Moments that happen in our lives. Many witnessed a Holy Moment or two at the Seton Volleyball Tournament over the weekend. Here is our 8th-Grade girls volleyball team praying with their opponent, Holy Apostles, after winning their match against them. That win put our girls in 3rd place in the Final Four!
Also pictured here is Fr. Matthew and Mr. Sanchez talking to the girls while they were warming up before the game. It was noted that Fr. Matthew mentioned his experience from being at the Seton in his Homily on Monday. He said that when playing a game, as the girls did, we all like to win. After we play the game though, we are all on the same team.
(Video Note: The Holy Moments videos shared each week are titled using the prompt from the week before as they "recap" the previous week's prompt and introduce us to the new prompt for the upcoming week.)
Some of you might not have social media, but we all spend time looking at screens in our free time, whether that’s on a TV, a phone, a tablet, an iPad, or a video game. Imagine the impact you could have if you took a break and spent more time with the people you love! Remember, some moments are holy. Some moments are unholy. And you decide!
Tips to Create This Holy Moment:
- Don’t look at your phone when you first wake up or watch TV right away.
- Think of something fun you’d like to do with your extra free time.
- Schedule some quality in-person time with someone you want to grow closer to.
We want to hear about the amazing ways you and your family are collaborating with God! Email Meghan Gorzalski at mgorzalski@waukeshacatholic.org and tell us about a special Holy Moment you witnessed or created. Let’s keep the Holy Momentum going!
Other Updates/Reminders/Acknowledgements:
WAY TO GO!! Congratulations to our 8th-grade Boys and Girls Volleyball teams for their outstanding effort and sportsmanship at the Seton Volleyball Tournament the past two weeks. We are so proud of all of you!
