Special thanks to our amazing PTC, our super parent volunteers, and the incredible help of our WHS Wildcat students. A HUGE thank you to all who helped and came to share our amazing Fall Carnival. It was such a fun night for the entire Whitney Ranch community. We love our school!

Support our 6th grade trip to Science Camp. We are selling Tamales in four flavors, chicken, pork, beef and cheese. The cost is $25 per dozen.

Hello Sunset Ranch families!

It’s that time of year again where you have the chance to purchase your child’s artwork on an item of your choice. Square 1 Art is a fundraiser for the VAPA (Visual and Performing Arts) program here on campus.

The order forms will be coming home soon with information about the products (with your

child’s art) that are available for purchase. In the meantime, you can order Online (Need to find your child's art? Use the online Art Search) and paper order forms are due back to Mrs. Oboyski no later than Wednesday, November 2nd. Paper order forms can be dropped in the office to be placed in the VAPA mailbox.

These will make great gifts and document your child’s artwork as they are growing up! Your

products will be shipped directly to you this year and will arrive before winter break. Your

purchase not only puts a smile on your child’s face, but it helps to support the VAPA

program here at Sunset Ranch! Thank you for your continued support!

We will be having a make-up day on Friday, November 4th. 28th for those students who were not present on picture day or who need to do re-takes. Please order ahead online at Lifetouch Website. Our Make Up Picture ID is EVT7XQDXW (If you need a retake, please bring back your package/proofs to give to the photographer on that day.)

If you didn't get a chance to order your student's picture package online from out first picture day on Sept. 16th, you should have received a proof sheet. Follow the directions and use the special access code to order pictures.

Parent Teacher Conferences are coming up. They are scheduled for the week of November 14th-18th. A letter will be sent out next week with all the details and directions you'll need for our online scheduler so please keep an eye out!

This year Coyotes will once again have the opportunity to to dress up for Halloween on Friday, October 28th (*reminder that Monday, October 31 is a Staff Professional Development Day and students will not be attending school the actual day of Halloween). Students in costumes will participate in a small parade for peers only on the morning of the 28th.

Below are some parameters to keep in mind for costumes:

• no masks or face paint

• no weapons, props, or accessories

• costumes must not interfere with classroom instruction or impede the ability to complete work for the student or those around them

• the school is not responsible for damage or lost costumes

• students need to be able to independently put on and take off their own costumes and be able to use the restroom

• feel free to send a change of clothes for them to put on after the parade

Welcome back to school for the 2022-23 school year. During the upcoming year, MEALS WILL BE FREE FOR ALL STUDENTS!

Although meals are free, we still need families to complete the Federal Meal Application to direct your State and Federal tax dollars to RUSD. This funding is used to provide counselors, intervention and tutoring programs, mental health and behavioral supports, full day TK and Kindergarten programs, and more.
