PXU iDays- September 19, 2022
The PXU iDays initiative allows students to focus on individual needs and complete mastery-based or project-based assignments in remote days of learning while at home. There will limited supervision and no direct instruction from teachers on these days. If your student needs a safe space on site, please contact the school. It is not required that students be on campus.
The next iDay this school year is scheduled for Monday September 19, 2022.

Stress Education for students
Students at Phoenix Coding Academy are being offered the opportunity to participate in a free
training aimed at helping students develop a plan for understanding stress and increasing their
resilience. The curriculum for this training was created in collaboration with high school students and incorporates scientific research with engaging activities.
This three-session training is being offered on Monday September 26, Monday October 3, and Tuesday Oct. 4 from 3:15 to 4:15pm. A signed permission form is required..

NetTutor online tutoring- free for all PXU students
Phoenix Union is excited to announce that we have contracted with NetTutor to provide tutoring services to all PXU students outside of the instructional day as needed when tutoring is not available from their teachers.
NetTutor is a professional online tutoring provider of high-quality tutoring services for live on-demand and virtual support. Their tutors have been fully vetted, trained, and use instructional best practices.

D-backs Science of Baseball
Phoenix Coding Academy students have been invited to participate in the Arizona Diamondbacks STEM Showcase. The Robotics team and Student Government will team up to represent the school. A limited number of tickets will be made available to students next week for the Friday 9/23 game against the San Francisco Giants.
“The D-backs Science of Baseball STEM Showcase presented by Honeywell will take place during the D-backs home game on September 23, 2022. Fans can visit various interactive displays and meet experts in science, technology, engineering, and math.” For more information about the event: D-backs STEM Showcase.
