The Guild PTO - Madison Traditional Academy
Presidents' Update
Dear MTA families!
Can you believe we are almost halfway through the school year?! Thank you to everyone who participated in our spirit nights at Blanco + Aunt Chilada’s last week and our first ever Fashion Fundraiser at Evereve! If you have suggestions (or connections!) to a location that would be interested in working with us, please send us a message.
Unsung Hero’s
Thank you to the families who have already contributed to our Unsung Hero initiative. While each class parent(s) coordinates a dedicated holiday gift for our wonderful teachers, we wanted to take this opportunity to also recognize the amazing support team that helps make our school what it is.
From our fabulous Specials teachers to our always smiling crossing guards, counselors, librarian, nurse, etc…there is a dedicated team of 20+ individuals behind the scenes that help the school run smoothly, keep our children safe + cared for in a positive learning environment.
We began this initiative last year and had such a positive response, we are continuing the tradition!
The suggested amount is $5-$10 - or whatever amount you feel comfortable giving.

Membership Drive
Want a free MTA car magnet?
Join the MTA Guild (starts at $10!) and show your support for all the initiatives we provide our school, students, teachers and staff.
The Guild helps fund and plan annual events like the ArtWalk, Parent Social and Sweetheart Dance, purchases specialized air filters for each classroom, funds the Owl-Star assemblies + awards, gives our teachers a $100 check to help fund their back to school needs and funds our Specials programs (Art, Music and P.E.) with equipment, supplies and so much more.
The membership is an annual contribution via this link:
See you at Zoolights + stay healthy!

Raptor (Volunteer System)
Thank you for your patience with Raptor. The hours are now viewable for parents. Yay! There is a delay for hours added manually. Many hours are submitted at the end of the month - so if you attended a Guild meeting, helped at a sports game, did uniform laundry, etc., those hours will populate the following month.
If you received an email regarding your hours in error, send us an email: mtaguildboard@gmail.com
We strongly suggest you keep a log (ex: Notes app in your phone) of your hours should there be a discrepancy.
Also- please sign up for hours using your name in Raptor. We are unable to assign hours to a name not in the system. If a teacher is crediting your hours, make sure they are using your correct name also. Thank you for your help with this.
If you are having technical issues (password, etc.) with your Raptor account, contact Liz Hernandez at the District office at lhernandez@madisoned.org
