Veteran's Day Program
We will be honoring United States Veterans and active duty military personnel on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 8:15 a.m. in our gym. ***
Wells’ families are encouraged to invite Veterans and active duty military personnel to the assembly. They will be considered our guests and will be recognized at the assembly.
The Wells third graders will be performing a thirty minute patriotic program in honor of our guests.
Our guests will need to arrive between 7:45 and 8:05 a.m. A reception will be available beginning at 8:45 a.m. for our honorees and their student host.
Additionally, we are also filling our display cases by the library in tribute to United States Veterans. Please submit a high resolution picture as an attachment to Ms. Hirunrusme at janet.hirunrusme@pisd.edu. The 3rd graders will be making frames to go with your pictures to be displayed in the locked cases. They must be in by Wednesday, November 2, 2016, so we can put up the display cases. Please include the veterans’ information as well. (Name, Military branch served, years of service, and relation to student)
Finally, if you are bringing a guest to our morning or evening performance on November 10th, please tell your guest to have their driver’s license with them and sign in at the front office for the morning performance.
If you have any questions, please contact Shonda.Winkler@pisd.edu
***There will also be a 6:30 p.m. performance in the evening, Thursday, Nov 10, 2016.
