TJ Yearbook Crew
Thank you to Mrs. Poston for organizing and leading our Yearbook Crew again this year! They have been working hard taking pictures and learning the process of creating our Yearbook for this school year.
Happy Thanksgiving!
We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday and had time to relax and spend time with loved ones. As we begin the holiday season, it is important to give thanks for all of the important things in our life. On behalf of the entire staff at Thomas Jefferson, we are grateful and honored to be a part of such a caring and supportive learning community. We are fortunate to be spending time with your child[ren] and helping them achieve academic and social and emotional success. We are grateful for your continued support.
The Giving Tree
2022 Thomas Jefferson Giving Tree
As we head into the holiday season, we are excited to help others in our community. This year, we will be partnering with the PTO, staff, community members, and other organizations to help and support families in need. Our school will be collecting gift donations for our Giving Tree. We are supporting families within our learning community that currently need some additional help and support during this holiday season. If you can help support our Giving Tree, please see the link below to sponsor a child or sibling of a child within our community.

Social and Emotional Learning
This month, our schoolwide theme is skills for learning: listening, focusing attention, using self-talk to stay on-task, and being assertive when asking for help with a learning task. These skills will help students learn skills for learning.
Colder Weather & Snow Reminders
Students will go outside for recess when the wind chill temperature is 20 degrees or above. Please have your child dressed appropriately, including such items as boots, hats, and gloves.
Students will not be permitted to play in the snow during recess or during arrival and dismissal. Please give your child reminders to keep the snow on the ground. If you are picking up your child as a walker, we would appreciate your help with reminding your child to keep the snow on the ground.
ABCDE Calendar
Arrival and Dismissal
We are asking for your cooperation and patience with arrival and dismissal to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and families. If your child is a car rider, please place a nameplate in the front window of your car that is visible to staff. Your child's teacher can provide you with a nameplate or you can get one from the office.
If you and your child are walkers, we are asking everyone to cross using the designated crosswalks in the parking lot and in front of the school for your safety.
Please know the safety of our students is first and foremost, they will not be able to change their dismissal arrangements unless the office has been notified. Please contact the office prior to 3:00 with any dismissal changes.
Thank you to everyone for your cooperation!
Student Laptops
Please have your child charge their computer nightly and bring their charger to school with them daily. Also, all students and parents/guardians are required to complete the District 202 Acceptable Use Policy each year. Please click on the link below:
