Key Concept: Communication
Related Concepts: Audience Imperatives and Purpose
Global Context Exploration: Social constructions of reality; philosophies and ways of life; belief systems; ritual and play
Statement of Inquiry: The purpose and audience imperatives of communication question belief systems.
Summative Assessment: Persuasive writing piece. Students will write a persuasive piece to organize and prepare their arguments for a debate.
Individuals and Societies

Global Context Exploration: Peoples, boundaries, exchange and interaction
Statement of Inquiry: Through cause and effect societies are changed locally and globally and in turn link societies
Summative Assessment: Students will research a specific explorer and then answer the debatable question in their project.

Summative Assessment: Students will use mathematical concepts of estimation, measurement, conversion of numbers, and multiplication & division of integers to appreciate the human capacity to invent, create, transform, enjoy, and improve the quality of life. Without proper planning, a family vacation could end up costing a fortune!

The No Bully District Peace Summit
Each school was represented at the District No Bully Peace Summit at Southwest Motors Events Center on October 7th.
