Word from the Director
10 years ago in 2005, Dr. Henry Wells, then Senior Pastor of Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church, sent a letter out to many area pastors encouraging them to consider hosting Luis Palau for a festival that could rally churches together for unified evangelistic effort. The response was tepid at best, negative at worst as pastors wondered the effectiveness of that model, remembering that within a year or two after previous efforts with Billy Graham and others, things kind of went “back to normal”.
Pastor Henry, and others who have had a long history of love and passion for the Sacramento / Capital region, prayed and persisted. Over the next five years.......

City Pastors Fellowship
City Pastors Fellowship gathered on November 20 at Bridgeway Church in Rocklin. We are so thankful for the unity and love shared in Jesus Christ by the pastors and leaders gathered together. The lunch together was a tremendous time of fellowship and encouragement. We wanted to pass on to you the audio recording of John Ortberg's powerful message. Season of Service 2015 will begin January 17th and run through May 17th 2015. It will begin with a weekend of service on January 18th preceding the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration. You can sign yourself or your church up at www.servesacramento.com
A Day of Celebration on Friday, May 22nd has been scheduled for all participating churches at Raley Field! We are excited that all churches can come together to serve and to celebrate what God has done through SoS 2015 and to pray for our community.
Partner by helping your church find another church (or more), nonprofit or civic agency with whom you can engage community needs.
Serve the community by discerning a mutually perceived need and working together with others to meet that need.
Change your perception of your community and see others adjust their view of you and church as you partner and serve
