What will we learn?
This week students will review area and perimeter problems, including real-world word problems. IXL sections to focus this week on are V.8 through V.18.
Reading Topics
RI.3.2: Determine the main idea of a text; recount the key details and explain how they support the main idea.
Use questions and prompts such as these at home with your student to help him or her determine the main idea of a nonfiction text:
- Think about what you read and create your own questions (refer to the text) about an important idea.
- What is the main idea of this text?

What will we learn?
Monday- Students will be learning about the ideas of a market economy and exploring key vocabulary (supply, demand and price).
Tuesday- Working with a partner, students will work through a problem of a new toy being created and will decide if the supply/demand is high or low and what the price will be.
Wednesday-Thursday- Students will work with a partner to create a product that they would sell in a market economy. They will determine the price, supply, demand, draw a picture and come up with a business name.
