Ways to Help Dyslexic Students in the Classroom
- Allow students to contribute with their special talent or interest.
- Encourage oral responses and participation.
- Make directions clear and brief.
- Break up assignments into steps.
- Call on students to read aloud only when they volunteer or are given advanced notice.
- Allow sub-vocalizing when reading and writing.
