8th grade French II- Video contest
NC to Normandy 2019
The projects keep growing as six high school students are fund-raising to bring one or two "hidden figures" of WWII back to the lands they liberated. Mr. Carter and I are their teacher sponsors. The students are raising $10,000 to bring two veterans and their family member to Normandy for the 75th commemoration ceremonies. If you would like to help these students realize their dream, please email me or Mr. Carter. rmcmahon@chccs.k12.nc.us
These students will have an exhibit on Global Connections night on the 8th grade hall. This video, NC to Normandy 2014, is what inspired our former Smith students.Donations can be made to the Public School Foundation (501c3) with NC to Normandy in comment line.
